Amanda and Blake’s Kindler Ballroom wedding was SO gorgeous! Both St. Mary’s Church (for the ceremony) and the ballroom (for the reception) were elegant and made perfect fairytale backdrops for our wedding pictures.

Engagement Photoshoot

I love all of my clients, but it’s super fun when they’re people I already know! Both the bride and groom are long-time family friends, so it was a particularly special experience to be their wedding photographer. I also did their engagement photos (keep an eye out for those pics coming soon on the blog–I have a little catch-up work to do!)

Blake had been a little worried about the engagement shoot. Mostly that he would be too nervous and look it. Let me tell you, that’s never a worry with me! I like to say I’m an expert at having fun. 😉 Whether we know each other or not, we will have a blast together, trust me!

Kindler Ballroom Wedding

Needless to say, the engagement shoot was amazing, and by the time we got together again for their Kindler Ballroom wedding I think we were all way more excited than nervous–and knew the photos would be beautiful! And they were!

Amanda and Blake are adorable and absolutely meant to be together! It was so special to capture their love for each other. I was also a huge fan of the dark colors Amanda chose for the bridesmaids’ dresses. The black and white was such a pretty, dramatic contrast, especially against the light-colored stone of the Nebraska State Capital. I think a favorite part for all of us was the pictures we got at the Nebraska State Capitol. We got some gorgeous rooftop shots between the ceremony and the reception, and downtown Lincoln, NE made for a great skyline!

Amanda and Blake, thanks for letting me share both your engagement and wedding day! I have loved capturing these special moments of your life together, and am so grateful for all the wonderful memories we’ve made!

“Megan was a dream to work with! My husband was terrified that he wouldn’t be able to give a genuine smile during our engagement session. Megan made us laugh the entire time! Our pictures were so creative and beautiful. It was hard to choose which ones to print! When it came time for wedding day, Megan was great at communicating before-hand with our vision.
