For some odd reason shooting a wedding always leaves me feeling old. Once upon a time, I babysat for the groom and his older sister. While I was photographing him, he asked me if I ever thought when I was babysitting that I would be photographing his wedding. I hadn’t thought about it, but while I didn’t know it would be his wedding, in particular, I did want to be a photographer at that point. I’m very thankful that Morgan and Deit asked me to be a part of their special day.
My favorite detail of this wedding was the dress! Morgan took the lace and beautiful features of her mother’s wedding dress and had it made into her dream dress. It is one of a kind, and I hope my daughter wants to do something like this. Her modern spin on this dress included lace sleeves and a beautiful veil. It was simply stunning.
